Drug suspect busted in Candelaria, Quezon; over P200K shabu seized
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a drug suspect Saturday night (April 23) and seized more than P213,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Candelaria, Quezon.
Police Leuitenant Colonel Joel Villanueva, Quezon police chief, in a report identified the arrested suspect as Rowell Jimenez, 39.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives busted Jimenez after he allegedly sold P2,000 worth of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) angilag Sur at about 11:10 p.m.
The suspect yielded three sachets of meth with an estimated street value of P213,000 and a knife.
The suspect was detained and will face a formal complaint for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Jimenez will also be charged with illegal possession of a bladed weapon outside of his residence in violation of election laws.
