ANGELES CITY––Undercover policemen arrested an alleged trader of illegal drugs after yielding some P408,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation on Wednesday, April 20, night in Cutcut village in this city.
Drug enforcement operatives of Police Station 5 conducted the sting operation against Arc Jayson Joven, 27, a high-value target in the national police campaign against illegal drugs.
A police officer, posing as a drug user, bought a sachet of shabu worth P500 from the suspect, the investigators said.
The suspect was arrested upon handing over the illegal drugs to the undercover policeman.
Police allegedly confiscated from the suspect two medium-sized sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of 60 grams, apart from the small sachet sold to the poseur buyer.
Lawmen also impounded the motorcycle that the suspect used when he allegedly sold illegal drugs to the undercover policeman.
The city police here said they marked the seized pieces of evidence in the presence of barangay officials, media, and representatives of the Department of Justice.
