Rice buyer gunned down in Nueva Ecija

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija––A 40-year-old buying agent for palay (unhusked rice) was gunned down Wednesday by assailants on a motorcycle in front of his house in Barangay Maestrang Kikay in this town, police said.

Investigators said Ryan Lee Galang was about to leave his house when the backrider of the motorcycle shot him successively with a still undisclosed caliber of firearm.

The victim suffered multiple bullet wounds to different parts of his body and was taken to Talavera General Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending physician, police said.
