Aika Robredo takes house-to-house campaign to Marcos’ bailiwick
CABATUAN, Isabela––The eldest daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, presidential candidate, visited Tuesday markets in this town and joined outreach programs as she continued the house-to-house campaign to boost her mother’s candidacy.
Aika Robredo brushed off heckles from supporters of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the closest rival of her mother in the coming elections, during her sortie.
“We find this in-person or house-to-house campaign the most effective [strategy] as we talk and offer our programs to the people,” Aika told reporters shortly after leading the market tour in Cauayan City.
She also led the house-to-house campaign in Dadap village in Luna town and met with women and youth members at the Sampaloc Sports Complex in Cabatuan.
Despite campaigning on well-known Marcos turf, Aika stressed that the “Oplan Angat Agad” platform of her mother would ensure that at least one family member receives a monthly salary and those who lost their job would get financial assistance for three months while looking for employment.

Later in the afternoon, she toured Aurora town, where she dropped by the Aurora pink wall with youth leaders and talked with farmers and women in San Mateo town.
Aika was also expected to go to Santiago City to visit the murals in Carreon and Malvar streets and meet with supporters in Cordon town.
She pushed for free doctors for families and more affordable healthcare services for villagers.
Aika and her two sisters have been on the campaign trail to support their mother.
