DepEd eyes August 22 class opening

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday said the agency is eyeing August 22 as the class opening date for this school year.

MANILA, Philippines—The Department of Education (DepEd) on Tuesday said the agency is eyeing August 22 as the class opening date for this school year.

DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction Diosdado San Antonio said the school year 2022-2023 could start on August 22, 2022 until July 7, 2023.

There would be 215 school days in the proposed school calendar, according to San Antonio.
