Olongapo City returns to COVID-free status
OLONGAPO CITY––For the first time this year, the number of active COVID-19 cases in this city has dropped to zero, data showed on Monday, April 18.
The local task force said the remaining COVID-19 case in Olongapo had recovered from the viral disease.
The city also did not record any new cases on the same day.
But health authorities are still monitoring 22 suspected COVID-19 cases as of Monday.
Since the pandemic struck in 2020, the city has recorded 6,987 COVID-19 cases, but at least 6,638 of these had recovered.
