No classes in public schools on May 2-13 due to election-related activities
MANILA, Philippines — There will be no classes in public schools from May 2 to 13 to give way to election-related activities, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced Monday.
The grade levels covered are from kindergarten to Grade 12.
“Inilaan ang mga nasabing araw upang magampanan ng mga guro at kawani ng DepEd ang kanilang election-related duties,” the agency said in an advisory.
(The said days are allotted so teachers and DepEd workers can fulfill their election-related duties.)
“Samantala, kung walang gawain na election-related, ang guro ay kailangang mag-report pa rin sa paaralan,” it added.
(Meanwhile, if the teacher has no election-related duty, he/she needs to report to school.)
