Local football body sets election on March 31

THE CEBU Football Association (CFA) will hold its election for its new set of board members on March 31 at the Sarrosa International Hotel.

Prior to the election, a general assembly/congress will be held, wherein the current officers and committee heads will be making a report of all activities that have happened under their administration.

The elected nine board members will be given a month to vote among themselves for the position of president, vice president, general secretary and treasurer.

They will also have to choose among themselves on who will head the committees on grassroots and youth, referees, coaches and technical, membership, disciplinary, competitions, appeals, women’s, futsal and beach football.

Current officers are president Richard Montayre, Eleazar Toledo as vice president, Bro. Mari Aberasturi as general secretary and Tony Morata as treasurer.

Other members of the board are Rachel Genco, Thea Manticon, Recaredo Borgonia, Adonis Quitoy and Eugene Ynclino III.

Current committee heads are Toledo for grassroots and youth, Ynclino for referees, Aberasturi for coaches and technical, Montayre for disciplinary, and Quitoy for competitions. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
