2 dead after truck runs over motorcycle in Batangas road mishap

LUCENA CITY––Two motorcycle riders died Monday night after their vehicle slid and was run over by a truck following them on the road in Batangas City.
Batangas police reported that Jade Marlou Careloria, 19, at 7:40 p.m. was driving his motorcycle with Harry Gaila, 19, as back-rider on the highway in Barangay San Isidro.

The police said Careloria lost control of the motorcycle, slid to the pavement, and slammed into the rear right wheel of a tanker truck traveling behind them and driven by Ricardo Cansino.

The truck ran over the motorcycle riders, who died on the spot from grave injuries.
The police are conducting further investigation while the truck driver remains under their custody.
