MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Tuesday congratulated the passers for the 2020/2021 bar examinations, saying the addition of new lawyers in the country is a good thing.
“Nais nating batiin ang lahat ng pumasa sa bar examinations,” acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar said in a Palace briefing.
(We would like to congratulate all the passers of the bar examinations.)
“Mas dumami ang ating mga abugado. Mas maganda ito para sa ating mga kababayan. Mabuhay kayo, mga bagong passers ng ating bar examinations. Congratulations po,” he added.
(We now have more lawyers. This is good for our country. Long live, passers of bar examinations. Congratulations!)
A total of 8,241 examinees out of 11,402 takers passed the 2020/2021 Bar Examinations for a 72.28% passing rate, according to the Supreme Court.
A total of 761 are on the exemplary list, or those who got high grades. Meanwhile, 14 are on the excellent list.
