MANILA, Philippines — Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) destroyed cannabis or marijuana plants worth P6.33 million in Cebu City.
The marijuana plants were destroyed after the police and the military conducted a joint anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Adlaon, Cebu City on Saturday, April 9.
Police officers went to the mountain village and eradicated a total of 15,840 stalks of marijuana estimated at P6.33 million.
No cultivator, however, was apprehended during the operation but a person at large is being “closely monitored.”
“I laud the efforts of our PNP, together with the AFP personnel, who made the operation successful. We will definitely find out who’s behind the cultivation of the Marijuana plants,” PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos said in a statement.
