LUCENA CITY – A motorcycle rider died following a collision with a van in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas early Sunday.
The Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police reported that Armel Managa was driving his motorcycle when he hit the front side of a van driven by Angelo Abuan on the highway at around 2:30 a.m.
Managa sustained serious injuries and expired while being taken to Saint Cabrini Hospital.
The report did not state whether or not the fatality was wearing a crash helmet.
Abuan is under the custody of the city police.
