Pacquiao believes he will get bloc voting among fellow Christians
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Senator Manny Pacquiao believes he will get bloc voting among his fellow Christians come May 9 elections, saying they will support him as their brother.
Pacquiao said he is sure his fellow Christians will help him in his fight since they are of the same beliefs and they will support their “brother in the Lord.”
“’Yung churches sa buong bansa, I’m sure na iisa lang naman ang paniniwala namin. The same spirit distributed to us. I’m sure na nagtutulungan kami, nagkakaisa kami, lalung lalo na magkakapatid kami sa Panginoon. Para bang isang kapatid mo tumatakbo, I’m sure you will support your brother,” he told reporters in a press briefing in Batangas.
(The churches here in the country, I’m sure we are of the same beliefs. I’m sure we will help each other, we will join hands, especially we are siblings through the Lord. It’s like your sibling is running for office, you will support him.)
“Yes. If you really are a true Christian, a real Christian, then support your brother. Kasi kahit ako ba naman, pag may Christian, may isa akong kapatid sa Panginoon na tumatakbo, kahit nuisance pa yan susuportahan ko yan dahil kapatid ko siya,” he added when asked if he expects bloc voting among Christians.
