PUP scholarship for qualified MMDA personnel now available
MANILA, Philippines — Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Romando Artes and Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) president Manuel Muhi signed an agreement on Wednesday for the scholarship program of the qualified employees of the agency.
Those who are not presently enjoying any form of scholarship or study grant are qualified to avail of the program, according to MMDA.
Artes encouraged MMDA employees to avail of the scholarship program, saying it could help them in their careers.
“Through this program, we can give our employees a chance to continue, sustain, and complete their bachelor’s degrees and further advance their careers in the agency,” Artes said during the virtual ceremonial signing.
For his part, Muhi also thanked the MMDA for “recognizing the university’s expertise in conducting baccalaureate, post-graduate, and continuing professional development programs.”
“These will contribute to the capability and provision of necessary foundation for further professional education and training of the MMDA employees,” Muhi added.
