Religious aid group donates transport boxes, vax cards to DOH in Central Luzon
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has donated several units of vaccine transport boxes and immunization cards to the Department of Health (DOH) Central Luzon Center for Health Development (CLCHD).
In a statement on its social media page, the CLCHD said it received the donations from the Latter-day Saints Charities during a simple ceremony on April 1 at the agency’s regional office in the City of San Fernando in this province.
DOH CLCHD officer-in-charge Corazon Flores thanked the religious charity group represented by Elder Dell Hill, citing the importance of partnership with various organizations in the fight against COVID-19.
Flores said all organizations are welcome to support the DOH and other agencies for the protection of everyone.
Hill said his group hoped to help bring the vaccines to those who have yet to get them.

These transport boxes are going to help the front liners in bringing vaccines closer to the public, especially those from far-flung areas. We have to protect them as they are the future leaders of the country,” he said.

The group also held last year a health clinic, in partnership with the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, in Laguna province that included screening and registration of those who needed cleft lip, palate, and clubfoot surgery and those who needed prosthetic limbs.
