Kulturang Pinoy quiz winners

The Brown Movement for Cultural Advancement named the winners of Kulturang Pinoy Quiz Year 2, a Metro Manila-wide interschool competition on Philippine history, culture and the arts, which was held recently at DepEd main office in Pasig City.

Grand prize winners for elementary level include Meghan Kristen Sevilla of St. Jude Catholic School, gold medalist; Janina Navarra of Colegio de San Agustin, silver; and Ralph Alexander Flores of Lourdes School of Mandaluyong, bronze.

Runners-up include Arthur Reiner de Belen of Claret School, Micaela Aledro of Rizal Elementary School and Montgomery Nathan Ngan of Xavier School.

High school level

FEATURED STORIES

In the high school level, the grand prizes went to Ralph Aaron Abainza of Mary Immaculate Parish Special School, gold medalist; Jannylie Suhayne Cayabyab of Makati Science High School, silver; and Kent Garcia of Muntinlupa National High School, bronze.

Runners-up include Helena Dy Go of Chiang Kai Shek College, Simoun Rainier Bayudan of De La Salle Greenhills and Jesi Laura Marie Taccad of Maria Montessori Holy Christian School.

The Brown Movement’s founding officers include NCCA chairman Felipe M. de Leon Jr., chairman; writer Visitacion “Chit” R. de la Torre, president; management consultant Niña Lojo, secretary; Dr. Myrna B. Rosel, treasurer; and visual artist and art director Bernard Fernando and photographer Roland R. Roldan, members.
