MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte’s greatest legacy for Filipinos is prioritizing their interests, especially the poor ones, the Palace said Wednesday.

(I think the greatest legacy of President Duterte is putting the Filipinos’ interests first, especially our poor fellow citizens through the courage and concern of the President.)

In February, former presidential mouthpiece Karlo Nograles claimed that Filipinos experienced “real change” under the Duterte administration.

Duterte himself likewise said that he was able to fulfill almost all of his campaign promises to Filipinos.

In three months, Duterte will be stepping down as the 16th president of the Philippines on June 30.

His term began on June 30, 2016, succeeding the late Benigno Aquino III.
