LPA-induced rains persist in Palawan; rest of PH to have fair weather
MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather on Tuesday, except for Palawan that may experience rain due to a low pressure area (LPA), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
According to Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio, the LPA that was last spotted 390 kilometers northwest of Zamboanga City or 95 kilometers southeast of Puerto Princesa City is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Palawan.
“Sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon ay magiging maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon, maliban sa localized thunderstorms na magbibigay ng biglaang buhos ng ulan kadalasan sa hapon at gabi,” Aurelio said in a weather forecast.
(In the rest of Luzon, there will be fair weather except for localized thunderstorms that can bring sudden rain mostly in the afternoon and evening.)
“Sa Visayas at Mindanao, maganda at maaliwalas na panahon ang inaasahan natin ngayong araw, maliban sa mga isolated na pag-ulan dahil sa localized thunderstorms,” he added.
(In Visayas and Mindanao, fair weather is expected today except for isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.)
According to Aurelio, the easterlies or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean will still influence the weather in the country and bring warm and humid weather conditions.
