P900K ‘shabu’ seized in Davao City sting; 1 arrested

MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested a high value target during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Davao City and seized some P900,000 worth of shabu.

Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos identified the arrested suspect as Arnulfo Ferrarran Sefuentes, 47, a resident of Davao City, and was listed as the fourth most wanted drug suspect in the Davao region.

Carlos said the suspect was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, after a buy-bust operation was conducted along R. Castillo Street, Barangay Lapu-Lapu, Agdao, Davao City.

Authorities confiscated sachets containing suspected “shabu” weighing about 57 grams with an estimated street value of P912,000

“Our focus is to further intensify the campaign against illegal drugs and to improve the quality of operations where policemen should focus more on high value targets and higher grams of drugs confiscated per operation,” Carlos said.

The suspect is now under police custody and will face a formal complaint for violating anti-illegal drug laws.
