Special COVID-19 vaccination drive set in Davao region, Cotabato City on Mar. 29 – 31
MANILA, Philippines — A special COVID-19 vaccination program will be held in the Davao region and Cotabato City from March 29 to 31, the chairperson of the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) announced on Saturday.
On Friday, the Department of Health announced that the government will hold special vaccination days in Cebu from March 29 to 31 and in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) from March 30 to April 1.
(We are continuously monitoring provinces, cities, and municipalities that can deescalate into Alert Level 1 once they fully vaccinate 70 percent of their population and reach the required vaccination coverage for senior citizens.)Earlier this month, Cabotaje said the government may no longer conduct COVID-19 National Vaccination Days, also known as the nationwide “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” drive, and will just focus on areas with low vaccine coverage.
