LUCENA CITY––Policemen arrested Thursday in an entrapment operation in Infanta, Quezon a man who allegedly tried to extort P5,000 from his victim in exchange for deleting her nude photos on his mobile phone.
A Quezon police report said Danny Boy Gallardo, 20, resident of the locality, was arrested after the mother of a 17-year-old girl reported to the local police that Gallardo has been demanding P5,000 from her daughter in exchange for deleting her nude photos on his phone.
The report did not provide information on how the suspect got the nude photos.
Gallardo and the victim agreed to meet and settle the payment around 12:30 a.m. in a restaurant in Barangay Tongohin, where undercover cops arrested the suspect.
The suspect, with a knife, tried to assault one of the arresting police but was overpowered.
Soriano will be charged with violating Republic Act (RA) 9995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 in relation to RA 10175 or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
The suspect will also be slapped with a corresponding criminal case for assaulting a police officer.
