OLONGAPO CITY––An alleged notorious drug trader and three others were arrested during an entrapment operation Wednesday, March 23, in Barangay Sta. Rita in this city, authorities said.
Agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said George Elefane, 57, was the alleged operator of a makeshift drug den and ranked seventh among the top drug personalities in the city.
Elefane’s arrested companions were identified as Erwin Sonza, 29; Dhan Zarem, 27; and Ryan Javier, 26.
Confiscated during the operation were five plastic sachets containing about 12 grams of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P82,800, drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.
The suspects were detained and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
