MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics police officers arrested two high-value targets in an anti-drug operation in Bacolod City, and seized from them P374,000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, locally known as “shabu.”
In a police report, Gen. Dionardo Carlos, chief of the Philippine National Police, identified the suspects a Zenadia Juguan Samodio, 45, and Erlinda de Asis Ubas, 65.
Carlos said operation was conducted at around 11:05 p.m, Tuesday, in Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay 30, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
Police officers confiscated 15 sachets containing suspected shabu. The sachets weighed a total of 55 grams with an estimated value of 374,000.
The suspects are now under the custody of the Bacolod City Police Office. The confiscated evidence was submitted to the Bacolod City Forensic Unit for examination, said Carlos.
“I congratulate our operatives on another successful operation against illegal drugs. Our police together with our local government and various sectors will continue to implement a more intensified program against illegal drugs throughout the country,” Carlos said in Filipino.
