Cops arrest man with hand grenade in Pasay
MANILA, Philippines – Anti-criminality officers have arrested a suspect for unjust vexation and illegal possession of an explosive device in Pasay City, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said.
Police have identified the suspect as Michael Loberiza, 36.
In a statement, the NCRPO said that during the conduct of anti-criminality operations, authorities received information that a leader of a criminal group who is listed as most wanted person was allegedly seen along Lawaan St., Brax 145, Zone 16.
When operatives went to the location, they chanced upon Loberiza standing. The suspect then shouted at the arresting officers saying, “Gusto niyo sumabog kayo?”

This prompted the policemen to arrest Loberiza.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9516, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act,” for illegal possession of explosives in relation to Omnibus Election Code and unjust vexation are being readied against the arrested suspect, according to the NCRPO. — Jericho Zafra, INQUIRER.net intern
