MANILA, Philippines — Most parts of the country will have fair weather on Monday according to  the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Inaasahan pa rin natin na maganda at maaliwalas na panahon sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said during the public weather forecast.

(Good, fair weather is expected in most part of the country.)

The easterlies or the warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, however,  will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the  Caraga and Davao regions, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi in Mindanao.

Up North, Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains brought by the northeasterly surface wind flow.

Visayas, the rest of Mindanao and Luzon, will experience fair weather except for localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Pagasa added that is not monitoring any weather disturbance in and out of the country’s territory.

“Wala po tayong binabantayan na low pressure area, bagyo sa loob at labas ng Philippine area of responsibility,” Aurelio said.

(We are not monitoring any low-pressure area or typhoon inside and outside of the Philippine area of responsibility.)

The country’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate with a wave height of from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

Hot, humid Monday with afternoon rain, says Pagasa
