Willie Revillame endorses Sara Duterte for vice president
MANILA, Philippines — Actor and host Willie Revillame has endorsed Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for vice president.
During the live episode of Revillame’s show Wowowin on Friday at Cebu City Sports Center, he introduced Duterte-Carpio to the audience as the “ilaw ng tahanan” or the home’s light.

“Inday Sara ang siyang kailangan ng bayan/ ang siyang magbibigay ng saya, ng ngiting kay tamis sa kanino man/ Inday Sara ang siyang ilaw ng tahanan/ sa piling mo, matatagpuan bukas na kay ganda sa ating bayan/ Sara, ikaw na nga,” he serenaded the vice-presidential bet, referencing to his signature song “Ikaw na Nga.”
Revillame likewise offered to help Duterte-Carpio in her candidacy.

“Basta ma’am Sara, kung anong maitutulong namin sa ‘yo, kung anong maitutulong ko sa ‘yo, kung kailangan mo ako, walang kabayaran, wala. Ang gusto ko lang ang ngiti sa mga labi ng ating kababayan,” added Revillame.

Also during the show, a video message of President Rodrigo Duterte, the vice presidential candidate’s father, was played.
“So, ‘Day, be true to your country, work hard for the people. And the rewards I think may be–are there, made in heaven. Not here. Trabaho ka lang (Just work) and be good. I love you,” said the President.
Duterte-Carpio, chair of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats, is running with former senator and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas standard-bearer Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. They are under the UniTeam alliance.
