MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — A 9-month-old boy, a 10-month-old girl, and two other young children were among the 12 new COVID-19 cases in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed Tuesday, March 15.
The infant boy, a resident of Bamban town, had mild symptoms and is currently confined in a hospital while the 10-month-old girl from Tarlac City is under quarantine. She also manifested mild symptoms.
Data from the provincial government showed that the eldest among the 12 new COVID-19 cases is an 85-year-old woman from Tarlac City. She had moderate symptoms and is confined in a medical facility.
The province also registered 10 recoveries and zero deaths on Tuesday. Its active cases stood at 37.
Tarlac City, the provincial capital, has the most active cases at eight, followed by Concepcion town with six and Capas and Victoria with five each.
The province has recorded a total of 23,604 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in 2020. Of these, 22,713 had recovered while 854 had died.
Tarlac and the other provinces and highly urbanized cities in Central Luzon are under Alert Level 1 from March 16-31.
