TAGBILARAN CITY — Even if he was nursing a fractured arm, vice presidential candidate Dr. Willie Ong visited Bohol province on Wednesday to woo voters for the May 2022 elections.
Accompanied by senatorial bet Dr. Carl Balita, Dr. Liza Ong, and Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno “Domagoso’s son, Patrick, the team arrived in Bohol past 10 a.m.
The 58-year-old cardiologist-video blogger was seen with a “splint” in his left arm. He was injured after he fell from a campaign float in Bataan in early March.
Ong had nothing but good words about Moreno, who was not able to join him.
He said he remained loyal to Moreno even if some supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte launched a coalition pairing the Manila mayor with Duterte’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who is also running for vice president.

Ong attended the 19th Barangay Nutrition Scholar Summit 2022 at the Bohol Wisdom School gymnasium in Tagbilaran City. There were at least 2,000 attendees.
Known for giving medical advice through his Facebook page, Ong shared tips to the village health scholars on how to stay healthy to live a long life.
