LEGAZPI CITY — Over P400,000 worth of suspected shabu or crystal meth was seized on Monday night (March 14) following a raid of an alleged drug den in Calabanga town in Camarines Sur province, police report said Tuesday (March 15).
Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said at least 60 grams of shabu worth P418,000 packed in two knot-tied plastic sachets were seized during the raid at around 6 p.m. in Barangay (village) Manguiring.
Maria Abendaño, 52, the owner of the house that was turned into a drug den was arrested along with her children Mylene, 31; Zacarias, 25; and Efren Jay, 18, all surnamed Abendaño; and a certain Eric Sargento, 21.
Maria’s children, according to the report, were residents of Barangay Sibobo, also in Calabanga, but were at the house of their mother, who was the alleged drug pusher.
The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
