THERE WAS SIMPLY no stopping Petron’s versatile forward Arwind Santos this week as he led the Blaze Boosters to consecutive victories, enough reason for the Pampanga-native to bag the Player of the Week award for the period of Feb. 27 to March 4 in the ongoing PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Santos averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in the Boosters’ wins over Air21 (102-88) and Rain or Shine (110-103). The performance was a huge bounceback for Santos as he went into last week with pedestrian averages of 6.7 points and 10.3 rebounds.
For Santos, it was all a matter of adjusting to their new import Nick Fazekas.
