THE BORACAY Rum Waves have high expectations for their upcoming stint in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup.
After being ousted from the quarterfinals by eventual runners-up Freego Jeans, the Waves are bent on showing their mettle against the rest of the field and are expected to do especially with the return of Ken Acibad and Jon Foronda.
“The immediate target is to make the Final Four after our quarterfinals finish in the previous conference,” said Boracay Rum coach Lawrence Chongson in his statement to the press.
Chongson also revealed that the team has enlisted the services of Fil-Ams Shaun Williams and Sean Baitinger. The two, he said, have been practicing with the Waves for nearly a month now./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
