Ice particles fall in Iloilo village

ILOILO CITY––Ice particles fell on Saturday in Barangay Talongadian, Santa Barbara town, Iloilo province

Residents said they heard sounds of what seemed to be small stones falling on their roofs.

The falling of ice particles lasted for three minutes.

Charlie Depra of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration in Iloilo told reporters that the ice particles were an effect of the same intense thunderstorms that caused a tornado and damaged houses at Barangay Tagsing.
