MANILA, Philippines — Fair and hot weather will prevail nationwide due to the easterlies, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Ngayong araw, inaasahan po natin ang maganda at mainit na panahon sa buong bansa dahil sa easterlies,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
(Today, we expect fair and hot weather nationwide due to the easterlies.)
Aurelio, however, said that isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms may occur in some areas.
The state weather bureau added that it is not expecting any weather disturbance that may affect the country.
“Samantala, wala po tayong binabantayan o namo-monitor na low pressure area o bagyo sa loob at sa labas ng ating Philippine area of responsibility,” said Aurelio.
(We are not monitoring any low pressure area or tropical cyclone inside and outside the Philippine area of responsibility.)
Coastal waters will be moderate in northern Luzon with waves of from 1.2 to 2.5 meters and slight to moderate in the rest of the country’ with 0.6 to 2.5 – meter waves.
