Iloilo’s Defensor is among Top 5 best performing public execs in PH
ILOILO CITY — For two consecutive years, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. made it to the top 5 best performing public officials in the Philippines based on a survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
Defensor ranked fourth with a satisfaction rating of 72 percent.
Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia topped the same survey with 83 percent. She was followed by Gov. Francis “Chiz” Escudero of Sorsogon with 81 percent, Gov. Hermilando Mandanas of Batangas with 78 percent, and Cagayan Valley Gov. Manuel Mamba who earned a rating of 70 percent.
In his press conference on Thursday, March 10, Defensor recognized his staff members, department heads and the cooperation of all local governments in the province for the recognition he received.
RPMD, an independent and non-partisan research group, conducted a random sampling of 10,000 respondents nationwide to determine the local chief executives who are performing well in serving the public.
