Pagasa: Slightly hot weather to prevail over most of PH

MANILA, Philippines — Warm and humid weather will prevail in the Visayas and Mindanao due to the easterlies, or warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said  Friday.“Kung mapapansin po natin dyan sa areas ng Visayas and especially dyan sa Mindanao area, nakakaranas po sila ng warm and humid conditions dala ng easterlies. Ine-expect din po natin na may mga isolated thunderstorms po na mararanasan ngayong hapon at gabi,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

(The Visayas and Mindanao are experiencing warm and humid conditions due to the easterlies. Isolated thunderstorms are likewise expected in the afternoon and evening.)

Meanwhile, the shear line, or the convergence of cold and warm winds, and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies and rain to several other parts of the country.
