Teen with brain tumor needs money for therapy

MANILA, Philippines—After successfully battling leukemia for six years, John Brian Cunanan is now facing another adversary—a brain tumor.

Due to his condition, the 16-year-old patient is undergoing a seven-cycle oral therapy at the Philippine General Hospital at P50,000 per cycle.

“Being sick for almost half of his life has delayed his studies. He is only in Grade 5 even though he is 16 years old,” said his grandmother Flordelita, who looks after him.
