Duterte appoints ex-Palace aide as Deputy Ombudsman for Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a former Palace official as deputy ombudsman for Mindanao.
Malacañang confirmed on Wednesday the appointment of former Presidential Management Staff Undersecretary Anderson Lo as deputy ombudsman for Mindanao.
“We wish Deputy Ombudsman Lo success as we assure him of the Executive’s support in the Office of the Ombudsman’s drive towards good governance in the public sector,” acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar said in a statement.
The position is in charge of corruption cases against Mindanao local government officials.
