Pacquiao on finishing presidential race: ‘Kayang-kaya’

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga—With more than 60 days left in the campaign, presidential candidate Sen. Manny Pacquiao said he could finish the race.

“Kayang-kaya,” was the world’s top boxing champion’s reply to reporters in an interview Tuesday after his courtesy visit to Pampanga Gov. Dennis Pineda.

He gifted Pineda with a boxing glove with his signature on it.

Asked if he could physically complete the campaign, Pacquiao said: “Kayod lang.”

Before being treated with native Kapampangan dishes, Pacquiao went to Magalang town and interacted with educational scholars from the provincial government.

In Porac town, he talked with leaders of Aeta communities. He said he would spend P400 million on housing projects for the poor in his first year in office.

At the capitol, he sang the Kapampangan folk song “Atin ko pong Singsing” to reporters, who were requesting materials to post on social media.
