BACOLOD CITY––There were fewer dengue cases in this city in February compared to the same period last year, data from the Bacolod City Epidemiological Surveillance Unit (BCESU) showed.
Dr. Grace Tan, chief of the City Health Office Environment Sanitation Division, said the city tallied 33 dengue cases with one fatality as of Feb. 26.
This is a 19.5-percent drop compared to the reported 41 dengue cases, with two deaths during the same period in 2021.
BCESU data further indicated that Barangay Singcang recorded the most number of cases with six, followed by Barangay Mansilingan, four; Granada, Cabug and Mandalagan, three each; Alijis, Estefania and Banago, two; and Barangays 14 and Tangub with one case each.
