Autopsy shows Israeli not stabbed
THE Israeli national who was found dead in his hotel room in downtown Cebu City didn’t have stab wounds nor external injuries.
This was the initial findings of the autopsy conducted by Supt. Nestor Sator, medicolegal officer and chief of the crime laboratory of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).
Sator said the contusions found in the head of Max Efergan were not stab wounds but a result of decomposition.
Efergan’s body was found last Tuesday night under a wooden bed in room 415 of the Hallmark Hotel at the corner of Osmeña Boulevard and Colon Street. The body was wrapped in a blanket.
Police said they believed that the victim was robbed first before he was killed as some of his belongings and cash were missing.
Sator said he believed there was foul play involved in the death of the foreigner but it was not determined yet how he was killed.
