More than 200,000 enter PH in February

Filipinos topped the number of arrivals for the month of December this year, followed by Americans, data from the Bureau of Immigration (BI) showed.

Over 200,000 international arrivals have been recorded by the Bureau of Immigration (BI) since the country reopened its borders to fully vaccinated foreigners last month.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, in a statement, said the number of international arriving travelers in February increased to 211,899 from only 150,740 in January.

Of the more than 211,000 arriving passengers, 154,661 or 72 percent were returning Filipinos. Americans came in second with 21,383 arrivals, Canadians with 4,026, and British with 3,250. —TINA G. SANTOS
