Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized around P500 million worth of crystal meth, or “shabu,” from three high-profile personalities in separate operations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
PDEA chief Director General Wilkins Villanueva said the three were “remnants” of transnational drug trafficking organizations and local distributors the agency arrested last year.
First to be arrested around noon on Tuesday was Jay-r Fuenteveros during a buy-bust operation in Bacoor, Cavite, followed by the arrest of Jalon Laureta in Marilao, Bulacan, on Wednesday. Later that noon, PDEA operatives arrested Joseph Laureta, Jalon’s brother.
