MANILA, Philippines — The country has received an additional 804,000 doses of Pfizer’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccine.
The National Task Force Against COVID-19 said the vaccine doses were transported by DHL Express Flight LD456 which arrived on Thursday evening.
On Wednesday, 804,000 doses of Pfizer’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccine were also delivered to the country.
The total 1,608,000 anti-COVID shots specifically for children were procured by the national government through a loan from the World Bank.

To date, the Food and Drug Administration has only approved Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for kids 5 to 11 years old.
The Department of Health’s latest report showed that 736,880 children aged 5-11, and 9.5 million minors aged 12 to 17 have received their COVID-19 shots.
