Marijuana worth P45K seized from 2 suspects in Puerto Galera resort
CITY OF CALAPAN — Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents confiscated around P45,000 worth of marijuana from two suspects who were arrested in a beach resort in Puerto Galera in Oriental Mindoro province at past noon Saturday.
The PDEA Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan) office in a report said its agents, armed with a search warrant, arrested Gerald Olila, 31, and Eugenio Olila, 35 in Barangay (village) San Isidro at around 12:10 p.m.
The report did not say how the suspects, both high-value targets of PDEA Mimaropa, are related to each other.
Seized from them was about 65 grams of marijuana worth P45,000 and several drug paraphernalia.
The suspects, both residents of Barangay San Isidro, will be facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
