Man nabbed in Puerto Galera buy-bust

CITY OF CALAPAN –– A man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation Monday in Puerto Galera town in Oriental Mindoro province, according to a police report.

Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel arrested Jefferson Gamo, 40, at 11:10 a.m. after he sold three sachets of suspected shabu for P1,000 to a poseur buyer in Barangay San Isidro.

Seized from the suspect was one sachet of suspected shabu weighing about 50 grams and worth about P340,000.

Gamo is under the custody of Puerto Galera police while a charge for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against him.
