Drug suspect nabbed in Quezon buy-bust; P204K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested a drug suspect early Saturday and seized P204,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in Pagbilao town in Quezon province.

Khristian Joy Medina, 28, resident of neighboring Lucena City, was collared by anti-illegal drugs operatives after selling P500 worth of shabu to an undercover police officer acting as a poseur buyer in Barangay (village) Talipan around 2:42 a.m., Quezon police reported.

The suspect was found carrying three plastic sachets of crystal meth weighing 10 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P68,000 but worth P204,000 in the street market.

The police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.

The suspect was detained and is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
