The camp of presidential candidate and Vice President Leni Robredo has clarified that the disqualification cases against rival, former senator Bongbong Marcos, was never a consideration for her actions during the campaign season.

GENERAL MARIANO ALVAREZ, Cavite — If elected president, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is willing to give fellow aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo a Cabinet position.

“Why not? If she’s willing, hypothetically,” Moreno said in an ambush interview in General Mariano Alvarez Municipal Hall on Thursday when asked if he is willing to give Robredo a Cabinet post.

“I can assure you, I can work with anybody,” he added.

However, if the roles were reversed, Moreno said he will not accept any cabinet position should one of his fellow aspirants win the presidency, saying he would rather spend more time with his family.

“That’s why, given a chance, I’ll just settle down and spend more time with my family,” he added.

Moreno previously said that he is also willing to appoint fellow aspirant Sen. Panfilo Lacson as the anti-corruption czar of his administration.

Both Moreno and Lacson have been in talks with Robredo middle of last year to discuss the 2022 presidential elections, but the talks fizzled out due to “non-negotiables.”
