QC sets up more e-services kiosks for business taxpayers
MANILA, Philippines — Taxpayers filing for renewal of their business permits can now avoid long lines and unnecessary face-to-face interaction by using the Quezon City E-Services Kiosks located at City Hall and several satellite locations.
Mayor Joy Belmonte said using the self-service kiosks has been observed to effectively cut the processing time of filing for business permit renewal to just two minutes.
“Mas madali na ngayon para sa taxpayers natin ang pagkuha ng kanilang permit. Hindi na kailangan dumaan sa fixer o humanap pa ng kakilala sa loob para mapabilis ang proseso. Mabilis at patas na ang proseso para sa lahat,” she said.
According to the head of the Business Permits and Licensing Department (BPLD), Ma. Margarita Santos, some of the kiosks are strategically located at the lobby of the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) so taxpayers can easily access their QC E-Services accounts after payment of their dues.
“From there, they can either scan the QR Code found in their permit or manually input their Mayor’s Permit number. They will then receive a digital copy of their business permit through the e-mail address they used to register into the system. Overall, this process takes only about two minutes,” she said, adding that through the city’s Automatic Document Delivery System (ADDS), the physical copy of the business permit will subsequently be delivered directly to the registered business address.

Other services that may also be accessed using the kiosks are Building Permit One Stop Shop, Business One Stop Shop, and Kalingang QC Para Sa Negosyo.
Citizens will also be able to file applications for Occupation Permit, Pangkabuhayang QC, QCitizen ID, QC Vax Easy, Real Property Tax Payment, and Solo Parent Certificate Renewal via the e-services kiosks.
The activation of e-services kiosks received plaudits and appreciation from Quezon City businessmen particularly private-sector employees who endured long lines and circuitous procedures in the past administrations.
