4 drug suspects busted in Batangas; P110K shabu seized

LUCENA CITY — Police arrested four drug suspects and confiscated over P110,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation in San Luis, Batangas on Saturday, report said Sunday.

Michael Joseph Manalaysay, 46; Clifford Valencia, 42; Katrina Elisan, 41; all residents of Parañaque City and Abigail Resus, 35, from Sampaloc, Manila, Batangas were arrested after selling a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer acting as a drug user in Barangay (village) Muzon around 7:16 p.m.

Authorities found the four carrying six plastic sachets of shabu weighing 16.02 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P110,160.

The police also seized a weighing scale, drug paraphernalia and a Mitsubishi Mirage car sedan used by the suspects in their illegal drug trade.

The suspects faced charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
