MANILA, Philippines — Five senior police officials were promoted on Thursday, with four of them getting their first star rank according to the Philippine National Police-Public Information Office (PNP-PIO).
In a ceremony at Camp Crame in Quezon City led by PNP chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos, incumbent PNP Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development Maj. Gen. Arthur Bisnar got his second star, while the following were promoted to the Brigadier General rank:
- Brig. Gen. Rolando E. Destura (Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Police Regional Office 12)
- Brig. Gen Percival A. Rumbaoa (Chief, Liason Office for the Office of the President, Office of the Chief PNP)
- Brig. Gen. Wilson Joseph F. Lopez (PA, WDC, Directorate for Intelligence)
- Brig. Gen. Cesar DR Pasiwen (Ex-O, APC, NL)
Carlos told the newly-promoted officials that their higher rank should inspire them to fulfill their duties, and face more responsibilities that come with the promotion.
“As you level up to a higher rank of great importance, there are more responsibilities ahead, thus, I urge all of you to keep it up and carry on with the best of your abilities as we introduce innovations for a better and enhanced community-oriented policing,” he said.
“As you pledge your professional and steadfast commitment to the Constitution, the Filipino people and our beloved country, today, I count on you to lead by example, make judicious use of your authority, and observe justice, integrity, and accountability among others, as core values to be applied in the performance of your duty, at all times,” he added.
